Playgroup

Playgroup is for all children under 6 and their parents or carers. We have playgroups that run on Friday and Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm. Both of our playgroups have a facilitator who helps to set up some activities for the children and to support learning. It is really helpful if the adults attending the playgroup are able to help with running the group. Sometime adults might need to help set up activities, serve morning tea, and we ask that everybody helps to pack up at the end of the session.

Adults stay with their children at playgroup. This gives them the chance to meet other people going through similar experiences and ease the isolation that can come with caring for young children. Families can find out about community, health and support services while they are at playgroup.

When at playgroup children can make new friends, try new things, build their confidence and self-esteem, learn to cooperate and communicate with others whilst developing their physical, social, emotional and intellectual abilities.

All you need to do is turn up. There is a weekly charge of $2.00 per child and it is nice if you can bring along something healthy for the children to share at snack time such as a piece of fruit
